Coffee. And how to have it everywhere you need it.

Coffee. I don't know about you, but I'm at a point in my life where i NEED it.

Do I love that? No. Have I made friends with the idea that the life of a mom of three kiddos requires more energy than I have?

Yes. So, I coffee. Let's take a quick look at the best containers to help us ensure we have coffee when, and where, we need it - without having to give ALL our. money to Starbucks or Tim's.

Although, let's be honest, Tim's is so inexpensive that it's almost a wash with homebrew.

But here we are, avoiding the drive-thru's and brewing some good 'ol beans at home. I love me a good home-mug on the road, it catches people off guard

  1. The beans. You buy yours at Costco too, right? That is the best deal going, regardless of which brand you choose. I LOVE to support local, but I buy local when I'm going to pick up a cuppa. I buy less local when I buy beans... at Costco.

  2. The container. I have a few faves, my requirements are:

a. they must fit in my vehicle's cup holders.

b. they must keep my coffee hot for at least an hour. Who likes cold coffee? Here's my shortlist: 1. Miir Flip Traveler. She keeps the heat and doesn't leak.

2. Yeti Travel Mug. She keeps the heat, she is a beauty to clean, she fits in your vehicle's cupholder, but she leaks if you turn her upside down. https://www.yeti.ca/shop-by-colour/navy/70000000597.html

My least favorites: 1. Contigo Travel Mug. These can be found at Costco in a two pack, and they're a great

deal! But girl, let me tell you about the chunk i got in my coffee before I buried this bad boy and moved on to a better option. It's tricky to clean all the parts of this mug, and leaves a lot of little nooks and crannies as options for bacteria and who knows what else to grow. Don't do it. Homegirl keeps a lot of secrets.

2. President's Choice Travel Mug - it's so sleek, I really and truly wanted

to love it. It fits in my hand, in my cup holder, and it's just simple and quite frankly, perfect. But it doesn't keep anything warm, let alone hot, for very long! Boo. Save your money and buy one of the better ones!
